In this work, the artist creates a visual symphony to tell the story of what resides in his heart— it is about communication and the hope for reception, for the need of understanding in order to heal. It contains an iconography that evokes many things, a cacophony of symbols that hint at meaning and yet are left open to interpretation. A mouth, slightly agape at the center of an old-fashioned rotary phone dial, casts radio waves up to the heavens in the shape of an atomic cloud that resonates outward into a radial spiral of visual noise. This work speaks to the confusion that results from the world’s pain and suffering. Where the individual’s privacy is interrupted. The battle is both external and internal, and the enemy at play is what prevents us from achieving the enlightenment that’s needed in order to be free.
